Dog and/or Service Dog (SD)
toys, capes, backpacks, and other gear

How many of us look at a dog toy and wonder just how long would this last? Or, what silly person would actually get this? Or, will it really do what it says?

As 'owner' of 7 dogs (the number flucuates), we never seem to have store bought dog toys that last. Often they are carried outside and lost, or go under The Bed and sent to another space dimension (with the socks) or get sniffed and left alone.

And not only are there toys - there are leashes and collars and bowls and harnesses. And in Joella's case, there are backpacks and seatbelts and capes and boots.

And last but certainly not the least, there is the wallet. Eegads the money we spend on our critters! And aren't they just like kids - having more fun with the box than the product?!?! (How many of us see buying shoes as having the side benefit of them coming with a free cat bed?)

So, after a recent discussion on an email list concerning a dog toy, I re-considered the concept of a review section to Joella's website. I had entertained the idea a while back but thought that the reviews given on many retailers websites would be enough. Problem with that, how often do we see a negative review? Or one that isn't all sweet and cuddly?

Now since I am not the all knowing and all wise creature that I think I am, I need your help. If you have a toy or product that you loved, hated, adored or regret the money you spent, write a review of that item and send it to me. I will then put it on the site. If possible, put the price of the item, where and when you purchased it, and for who (whom?) you got it for. I am especially interested in SD stuff, such as capes and backpacks.

You can send your review to me at webmaster@servicedawgs.org. I will let you know when it is put on this site. I am also interested in any other reviews that are already on the net.

Thanks for your help!
